What to Expect While We Have Your Vehicle

The following are some things you may not know about the repair process:

  • While we may have an estimate already written on the repairs needed to fix your vehicle, that is just a guide to get started. Once we pull your vehicle in to start working on it, it goes through our blueprinting process first. This is the initial disassembly of the vehicle where we catch any additional damage that was not visible when first inspecting the vehicle at the time of the estimate. After blueprinting has been completed, this is when we place our parts order for any additional damage, known as the supplement.

  • We rely on outside sources to get our parts. Because of this, we have no control over how fast we get our parts or if they come in correctly. Once we receive our parts orders, they go through mirror matching. Mirror matching is where we check each part to make sure first that it is the right part and second that it is not damaged. By doing this, we can catch incorrect parts early in the process and avoid delays. Since we have no control over these factors, getting the parts we need can be tricky.

  • When we place our supplement parts order, the parts are not always available right away. We run into parts that are sometimes not available for days, weeks, or even on national backorder. Because of this, we are sometimes on hold with the repairs until all of the parts arrive so we can continue with repairs.

What to Expect with Your Rental Car:

  • As a courtesy to our customers, we take it upon ourselves to set up your rental car (if requested). We are not affiliated with Enterprise, we work alongside them to get our mutual customers set up and ready to drive away in their rental car. We do this to make our customers' lives a little easier.

  • We do not determine what kind of vehicle you will be receiving, this depends on your insurance policy. If you need a specific vehicle or have any further questions regarding your rental, you will need to contact Enterprise directly.

  • Depending on your insurance company and the policy you hold, you are given a certain amount of days to stay in your rental. Typically insurance companies give you anywhere from 15-45 days of rental. Depending on the size of the repair job, and also if parts are available, repairs may take longer than what your insurance company covers.

How We Update Our Customers:

  • Depending on preference, we offer updates by phone call or via text message. You have the choice to select how you are updated.

  • Once you drop the vehicle off on your scheduled appointment day, we will select your update preference. After blueprinting has been completed and supplement parts have been ordered (if there is a supplement) we will send out our first update. Once we receive all the parts needed, we can now update you with an estimated day of vehicle completion.

Commonly Asked Questions:

Q: How long will repairs take on my vehicle?

A: We do not know. Let me explain why. Until we bring the vehicle in for repairs and complete disassembly, due to the complexity of today’s vehicles we cannot say confidently that we have captured all of the damage just by looking at it. Once teardown is done, parts have been ordered, and we have received a date when all parts will arrive, we can inform you of an ETA for vehicle completion.

Q: How does my deductible work?

A: Taken from Progressive.com “An auto insurance deductible is what you pay “out of pocket” on a claim before your insurance covers the rest. Collision, comprehensive, uninsured motorist, and personal injury protection coverages all typically have a car insurance deductible. You typically have a choice between a low and high deductible. A low deductible means a higher insurance rate, whereas a high deductible means a lower insurance rate.” - https://www.progressive.com/answers/car-insurance-deductible/

  • Your deductible is due upon vehicle pickup, with no exceptions. We do not offer any financing or payment plans.

Q: I received a check / direct deposit from my insurance company, does that money belong to me?

A: The money you received from your insurance company is to cover the cost of repairs. This in no way, shape, or form is for you to spend. This money is owed directly to us so we have the funds to repair your vehicle. If you spend the money they gave you, we cannot work on your vehicle.

Q: While you have my car in for repairs, can you look at the rust spot I have as well?

A: Unfortunately, we no longer fix rust. We’re unable to work rust repairs into our schedule as we have contracts with insurance companies that keep us busy 24/7.

Q: When is the money due if I pay out of pocket?

A: 50% of the cost will be due on the day you drop off your vehicle for us to start repairs, while the other 50% will be due upon vehicle pickup. Again, we do not offer financing or payment plans, the bill is due in full upon pickup, no exceptions.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept money orders, checks, cash, and credit/debit cards. We gladly accept credit card payment for the amount of your deductible and self-pay charges. All other card payments made will be charged a transaction fee of 3%.
